Before you start

You need:

  • About five focused minutes
  • A Google account or email to sign up
  • Willingness to automate FAQs and first-line support

You do not need WhatsApp Business to start. You need it only when you connect a real number (WhatsApp Pro).

Step 1: Create your account

  1. Go to app.iabot.io/register.
  2. Sign in with Google or create an account with email.
  3. In under a minute your workspace is ready.

Step 2: Create your first AI channel

  1. Click Create channel on the dashboard.
  2. Pick a clear name: “Dental Clinic Support”, “English Academy”, “Sales Assistant”.
  3. Choose a channel type if you want (you can change it later).

Step 3: Train your AI

This is where you teach the AI your business, services, and voice.

What you can add

How to do it

  1. Open Settings on your channel.
  2. Under bot identity: describe the business in 2–3 lines, set tone, summarise services.
  3. Under attachments: upload 1–2 PDFs and paste 1–2 important URLs.
  4. Save.

You do not need everything on day one. Start small and expand from real questions. The more specific you are about what you offer—and what you do not offer—the better the AI behaves. When prices change, update the source PDF or URL immediately so the bot never quotes stale numbers.

Step 4: Test in the WhatsApp simulator

Before connecting a real number, use the built-in WhatsApp-style simulator:

  1. Open your channel.
  2. Go to Simulator or Try WhatsApp.
  3. Send messages as if it were a real chat.
  4. Watch replies in real time.
